Accidents

A Hyundai Sonata driven by Martha L. Loring, Richmond, and a Toyota Prius driven by Brady T. Price, 908 Ranch Road, were involved in an accident Saturday at Grand Avenue and 12th Street, Connersville Police Officer Brad Rosser said.

A Jeep driven by Angela R. McGuire, 2569 W. County Road 300-N., and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by Daniel L. Tracy, Hagerstown, were involved in an accident Sunday at Western Avenue and 30th Street. Tracy was transported by Fayette County Emergency Medical Services to Fayette Regional Health System for treatment, CPD Officer Josh Tudor said.

A semi-tractor and trailer driven by Larry Brown, no address provided, twice struck a vehicle operated by Hailee Bell, no address provided, Sunday at Western Avenue and 9th Street, CPD Officer Joe Becker said. Brown was cited for leaving the scene of an accident.

Arrests

Finis K. Carpenter, 41, Indianapolis, was arrested Monday at the Fayette County Jail by Jail Officer Josh Sparks on a warrant charge of probation violation. Carpenter was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $5,000 bond.

Brant A.T. Mechling, 21, Montpelier, Ind., was arrested Sunday at Vine Street and 5th Street by Tudor on charges of public intoxication and criminal recklessness. Mechling was lodged in FCJ with no bond amount listed.

Brittany N. Todd, 31, 1200 W. 3rd St. Room 11, was arrested Sunday at Virginia Avenue and 15th Street by Fayette County Sheriff’s Department Detective Chad Bales on a warrant charge of dealing in a narcotic drug. Todd was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $20,000 bond.

Jason M. Horn, 41, 3500 Towne Terrace Apartments, was arrested Sunday at Virginia Avenue and 15th Street by Blaes on warrant charge of dealing in a narcotic drug. Horn was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $20,000 bond.

Brayden L. Davis, 18, Portland, Ind., was arrested Sunday at Vine Street and 5th Street by Tudor on a charge of possession, consumption or transportation of alcohol by a minor. Davis was lodged in FCJ with no bond amount listed.

Jacob T. Alexander, 21, Montpelier, Ind., was arrested Sunday at Vine and Howard streets by FCSD Deputy Dan Becker on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Alexander was lodged in FCJ with no bond amount listed.

Brittany Baker, 27, Milton, was arrested Sunday in the 600 block of Grand Avenue by Rosser on charges of resisting law enforcement and operating a vehicle while intoxicated per se with a .15 or greater blood alcohol level. Baker was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $7,500 bond.

Loren A. Hatfield, 33, Richmond, was arrested Sunday at FCJ by Dan Becker on a warrant charge. Hatfield was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $15,000 bond.

Victor S. Burns, 31, 621 W. 11th St., was arrested Saturday at Roberts Park by CPD Officer Clint Brown on a warrant charge and false reporting. Burns was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $6,000 bond.

Johnny L. Cotton, 31, 204 W. 25th St., was arrested Saturday at FCJ by FCSD Deputy Kyle McMurry on charges of criminal recklessness, criminal mischief, two counts of resisting law enforcement, dealing in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and reckless driving. Cotton was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $45,000 bond. Cotton was also arrested on a warrant charge of auto theft: receiving stolen parts. Cotton was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $7,500 bond.

James A. Cain, 58, 994 W. County Road 200-N., was arrested Saturday on West Indiana 44 by Indiana State Police Trooper Aaron Edwards on a warrant charge of being a habitual traffic violator. Cain was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $15,000 bond.

Lodema L. Gulley, 36, 1926 Vermont Ave., was arrested Saturday at 816 Oak St. by Miller on warrant charges of battery and residential entry. Gulley was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $15,000 bond.

Brandon R. Hatfield, 33, 1200 W. 3rd St., was arrested Friday at Indiana 44 and County Road 300-W. by Indiana State Police Trooper Dan Jones on a warrant charge of probation violation. Hatfield was lodged in the Fayette County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bond

Clint M. Edwards, 42, Rushville, was arrested Friday at 431 W. 3rd St. by Connersville Police Officer Kyle Miller on a charge of possession of a syringe. Edwards was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $7,500 bond.

Tiffany J. Runtz, 34, 1467 E. 5th St. Apt. 37, was arrested Thursday at 1200 W. 3rd St. by Fayette County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Kyle McMurry on a warrant charge of theft. Runtz was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $8,000 bond.

Cody A. Gabbard, 25, 1467 E. 5th St. Apt. D37, was arrested Thursday at FCJ by Jail Officer William Ammerman on a warrant charge of theft. Gabbard was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $15,000 bond.

Michael D. Thornton, 24, 416 W. 6th St., was arrested Thursday at FCJ by Ammerman on warrant charges of perjury and invasion of privacy. Thornton was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $15,000 bond.

Jayce J. Nicholson, 21, 817 Vine St., was arrested Thursday at FCJ by Ammerman on a warrant charge of probation violation. Nicholson was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $15,000 bond.

Kenneth R. Marshal, 54, 918 E. Little Bear Road, was arrested Thursday at his residence by FCSD Sgt. Bobby Revalee on warrant charges of residential entry and failure to appear. Marshal was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $15,000 bond.

CPD reported one overdose, two welfare checks and one medical call Monday.

Robin G. Burch, 3600 Western Ave. At. B316, reported Sunday her Ford Escape had been stolen, Tudor said.

Anthony N. Redd, 1206 Eastern Ave., reported Sunday a motorcycle was stolen from his yard, Tudor said.

Edward L. Durham, 405 W. 32nd St., reported Sunday someone entered his parked truck. Nothing appeared to be missing but items had been thrown around the truck, Miller said.

Robert P. Schmidt, 502 W. 34th St., reported Sunday someone entered his parked vehicle. Nothing appeared to be missing but items had been thrown around the truck, Miller said.

Richard D. West, 2153 Virginia Ave., reported Sunday someone had entered his parked vehicle and took a stereo face plate and damaged the door, CPD Capt. Randy Bolos said. 

Josie Pearson, 401 W. 35th St., reported Sunday someone entered her yard and broke a flower pot, Bolos said.

Joseph Milano, 105 W. 32nd St., reported Sunday a gun safe with six long guns and cash had been stolen, Miller said.

Eric J. Boulware, 5381 S. County Road 375-W., reported Sunday a man had been seen removing items from a garage in the 700 block of Washington Street, Joe Becker said.

Jason B. Mays, 1609 Virginia Ave., reported Sunday his vehicle had been entered and change taken. A car normally operated by his son had a window broken and the interior damaged, Miller said.

CPD reported two batteries, two unwanted subjects, two welfare checks, five citizen assists, one case of harassment Sunday.

CPD reported one alarm, four citizen assists, one verbal argument, two welfare checks and one agency assist, one vehicle identification number check, one threat and two agency assists Saturday.

Bradley C. Earlywine, 3507 Grand Ave. Apt. 117, reported Friday laying his iPhone 8 down at the Roberts Park pavilion. When he went back, it was gone, CPD Officer Chad Catey said.

Erykah R. Carter, 309 W. 35th St., reported Friday her Kia Soul windshield had been broken while parked between the Roberts Park pool and pavilion, CPD Lt. Ryan Sherwood said.

Kyle Nicholson, no address provided, reported Friday as he was northbound on Western Avenue in the 700 block reported his Mazda 6 had been hit by something thrown from an upstairs apartment window, CPD Officer Scott Shook said.

CPD reported three batteries, seven citizen assists, three verbal arguments, one vehicle identification number check, three welfare checks, one threat, one noise complaint, one unwanted subject and one agency assist and FCSD reported two fights and one lockout Friday.

Teresa L. Lowe, 3407 Central Ave., reported Thursday two tube bird feeders were stolen, CPD Officer Marc Koons said.

Erin R. Miller, 706 S. County Road 350-W., reported Thursday someone had been taking her mail, Revalee said.

CPD reported two cases of harassment, one verbal argument, seven citizen assists, one VIN check, two agency assists, two welfare checks one juvenile issue and FCSD reported one citizen assist, one animal issue and two VIN checks Thursday.

Fire runs

Connersville Fire Department responded Monday to medical calls in the 500 block of West 5th Street, 800 block of Scott Street and the 2100 block of Iowa Avenue and to a fire alarm in the 2500 block of Grand Avenue.

Bentonville Volunteer Fire Department responded Monday to a medical call in the 3000 block of Leadline Road.

CFD responded Sunday to medical calls in the 3600 block of Western Avenue and the 500 block of West 29th Street and to vehicle accidents at Western Avenue and West 30th Street and at Central Avenue and East 6th Street.

CFD responded Saturday to medical calls in the 600 block of West 10th Street, 3000 block of Western Avenue, 800 block of Western Avenue and the 1600 block of Country Club Road and a vehicle accident in the 4500 block of West Indiana 44.

CFD responded Friday to a vehicle accident at West 18th Street and Georgia Avenue, false alarm in the 5400 block of Western Avenue and to medical calls in the 100 block of East 8th Street, 3600 block of Western Avenue and the 2900 block of Iowa Avenue.

CFD responded Thursday to medical calls in the 300 block of East 5th Street and to the 2000 block of Vermont Avenue.
