RIGHT: Like all good photographers, Abbe Pflum knows that being in the rightplace can be a matter of lucky timing. She called this photo Charlotte, after her daughter, and it reminded her of the chilren’s book Charlotte’s Web. She saw the sunlight, shining into the barn on Charlotte as she played with the animals, and knew it wouldbe stunning in black and white. The photo won grand champion honors in the open class judging at the 2018 Fayette County Free Fair.
