Accidents

A Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Amanda L. Shelly, 1322 Indiana Ave., and a Chevrolet van driven by Tyler S. Massey, 607 West 11th St., were involved in an accident Wednesday at Park Road and 30th Street, Connersville Police Officer Matt Reed said.

Arrests

Vidal Clayton, 44, 903 West 39th St., was arrested Thursday at Putnamville Correctional Facility by Indiana State Police Trooper Dan Jones on a warrant charge of probation violation. Clayton was lodged in the Fayette County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Blotter

CPD reported one citizen assist, one alarm response and one verbal argument Thursday.

Kittie Conner, 1214 West 8th St., reported Wednesday that her mobile home had been forcibly entered and items removed from the trailer, CPD Officer Chad Blaes said.

Jugman Singh Dhami, no address provided, reported Wednesday the tires on his Dodge Charger had been slashed Monday while parked at 1720 Western Ave., Blaes said.

Jessica L. Conner, 3507 Grand Ave. Apt. 9, reported Wednesday a large amount of cash had been taken from her residence, CPD Officer Kyle Miller said.

Jeff Henson, no address provided, reported Wednesday a “Jeff Osborne” had contacted him and his wife about renting a home on Virginia Avenue. “Osborne” asked for a payment via gift card. “Osborne” does not own the home and it is a scam, Miller said.

CPD reported three citizen assists, one verbal argument, one vehicle identification number check and two agency assists Wednesday.

Fire runs

Connersville Fire Department responded Thursday to a false alarm in the 2600 block of Indiana Avenue and to a medical call in the 3300 block of Ostheimer Avenue.
