Accident

A Dodge Caravan driven by Desiree E. Callahan, 723 W. 8th St. Apt. 2, struck a Ford Escape Saturday owned by Jonathon S. Snider, 3323 Ostheimer Ave., that was parked in an alley between Ostheimer and Richmond Avenue, Connersville Police Officer Kyle Miller said.

Arrests

Ashton L. Noah, 21, 1212 W. 12th St. Lot 16, was arrested Saturday at the 200 block of Vine Street by Connersville Police Officer Josh Durstine on a charge of driving while suspended. Noah was lodged in Fayette County Jail with no bond amount listed.

Richard J. Ray, 45, 3600 Western Ave. Apt. B119, was arrested Saturday in the 2400 block of Grand Avenue by CPD on two warrant charges of theft. Ray was lodged in FCJ with no bond amount listed.

Jeffrey D. Stone, 51, 124 W. 9th St. Apt. 2, was arrested Saturday at 1that address by Durstine on a charge of failure to appear. Stone was lodged in FCJ with no bond amount listed.

Gregory W. Fox, 49, 200 Houston Ave., was arrested Saturday at his residence by Miller on two warrant charges of domestic battery. Fox was lodged in FCJ with no bond amount listed.

Wilmer L. Lane Jr., 45, Laurel, was arrested Friday at 1200 W. 3rd St. by Durstine on a charge of criminal mischief. Lane was lodged in FCJ with no bond amount listed.

A 14-year-old juvenile was arrested Friday by Fayette County Sheriff’s Sgt. Aaron McQueen on a charge of battery.

Blotter

CPD reported one citizen assist, one juvenile issue and one medical call Monday.

Officer Miller reported Sunday a Chevrolet truck was stopped on the 3rd Street hill with no driver, creating a traffic hazard. After being removed from the scene by an American Owned Towing employee, the employee found methamphetamine and Schedule 4 controlled substance pills in it. 

Steven May, 1708 Central Ave. Apt. B., reported Sunday his apartment door had been kicked in and an Xbox 1, two watches and a soundbar stolen, CPD Officer Brad Rosser said.

CPD reported one animal issue, three alarm responses, two citizen assists, one welfare check, one verbal argument, one noise complaint and eight Operation Pull Over violations Sunday.

William C. Carey, 1329 Eastern Ave., reported Saturday his security cameras and motion detectors had been spray painted black and his door forced open, with several collectible items taken, CPD Capt. Chris Scott said.

Central Auto Parts, 1318 Central Ave., reported Saturday the pop machines had been broken into, CPD Officer Josh Tudor said.

Diana Bevington, 112 Beverly Court, reported Saturday her Ford had been egged, Miller said.

CPD reported three verbal arguments, two animal issues, two alarm responses, two citizen assists, one citizen assist, one unwanted subject and five OPO violations Saturday.

Michael R. Robinson, 6648 S. Ott Road, reported Friday three vehicles on his lot had been spray painted Wednesday, Tudor said.

Larry G. Carey, 1102 Lincoln Ave., reported Friday his license plate had been stolen, Tudor said.

Roger Sackett, 509 W. Western Ave., reported Friday his garage had been struck, Durstine said.

CPD reported three juvenile issues, four citizen assists, one medical, one juvenile issue, one verbal argument, one battery, one unwanted subject, two vehicle identification number checks, one alarm response, one threat and three OPO violations Friday.

Fire runs

Connersville Fire Department responded Monday to medical calls in the 1000 block of East 5th Street and the 1800 block of Eastern Avenue.

CFD responded Sunday to medical calls in the 300 block of Beech Street, 1800 block of Ohio Avenue, 3600 block of Western Avenue, 700 block of Fountain Place, 1200 block of West 10th Street, 1000 block of East 5th Street and the 300 block of West 11th Street.

CFD responded Saturday to a medical call in the 1900 block of Virginia Avenue and to a vehicle accident at Grand Avenue and 4th Street.

CFD responded Friday to medical calls in the 800 block of Western Avenue, 2700 block of Grand Avenue and the 2500 block of Iowa Avenue, to a fuel spill in the 900 block of Conwell Street and to a fire alarm in the 1900 block of Virginia Avenue.
