2018 hunting, fishing licenses available

Annual Indiana fishing and hunting licenses are now available for purchase. Annual fishing and hunting licenses from 2017 expire on March 31.

Those who purchased a license online last year may log into their account, confirm the information and purchase new licenses. A fishing license or hunting license purchased separately costs $17 each. A combo license for both is $25.

Plan Commission will review procedures 

BROOKVILLE — The Franklin County Area Plan Commission will have a workshop from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Government Center at 1010 Franklin Ave., Brookville.

Dave Osborne, a Ripley County Extension educator, will review procedures and rules for the APC, according to Cindy C. Orschell, APC executive director.

Fayette County’s Way to the Cure

The kick-off meeting for American Cancer Society Fayette County’s Way to Cure “Research,” formerly Relay for Life, will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Administration Building in Roberts Park.

Imformation on the new concept in the fundraiser will be presented. Teams can be registered and supplies for the year obtained. Luminaries will again be available for just $5.

Yvonne Smith and Bertie McKenna are the event co-chairs.
